The High Priestess is the very first gin produced by the distillery, created in collaboration with Daniel Haesinger, grower-distiller in Alsace. This batch was distilled in the fall and the recipe was inspired by seasonal products such as mirabelle plums and hyssop flowers, which with the juniper berries form the most distinctive notes.

Juniper, mirabelle plum, hyssop, blackcurrant pepper.

The nose varies between the roundness of the mirabelle and the subtle herbaceous touches from the hyssop.

The freshness brought by the jupiter berries, along with delicate floral aromas and a fruity sweetness that lingers in the mouth.

The final note is persistent with hints of flower.

The pictural work on the label has been painted by Léa Augereau, a female artist with a colorful style and feminist commitment. She chose the card number two of the major arcana of the Marseilles Tarot deck, knowned as the Papess or the High Priestess.

The High Priestess is a feminine character, who sits between two pillars symbolizing the duality. She is generally represented holding a manuscript in her hand, as a symbol of knowledge and wisdom. This allegorical figure invites tarot readers to learn, but also to follow their instinct to read the signs. She is associated to the idea of mystery and secrets that must be attempted to find or reveal.
